ADAPTIVE SNOWSPORTS PROGRAM 2023-2024
Mission Statement: To provide an enjoyable, safe environment to benefit the learning experience. Our end goal is to graduate participants into the skiing/snowboarding mainstream to provide them with a lifetime recreational capability.
Students range in age from four (4) to 50+ years of age; all are ambulatory.
How it Works
The Adaptive Snowsports Program is for children and adults with disabilities who want to learn how to ski and snowboard. First-timers needn't worry; lessons range from "Never-Ever" to the advanced skier/snowboarder. Each one hour lesson includes an all-area lift ticket. Rental equipment is available. Payment is required at the time of reservation; prior arrangements are necessary.
The Adaptive Program is held on *six (6) consecutive Saturdays, beginning January 13, 2024 and ending February 17, 2024. Each session consists of a one-hour lesson and an Unlimited All Area lift ticket on the day of the session. The disabilities of the students, as well as their skills, determine the size of the group. One-hour lessons by appointment are available from 9 am to 3 pm.
The abilities and skills of each student determine the terrain and focus of the lessons. Each student is carefully assigned to an instructor.
Because continuity is important to our guests, the same instructor often works with the student for as long as they are a part of our program.
It is essential that specific arrangements be made and confirmed prior to the first visit. Contact Nancy Maressa, Adaptive Coordinator for more information at 716-868-0896.
Tuition per student: $350.00*
